Master
of Laws (LLM) |

Requirements:

A minimum of 36 semester credits.

A cumulative grade point average (GPA) of B (3.00)
AUL graduates with the Master of Law (LLM) degree may find job
opportunities in professions like administration, banking and finance,
education and law, etc. For a Master's degree, a student is required to
earn 36 semester credits beyond a recognized bachelor's degree in law or
an equivalent qualification. These credits may be earned by course work
or by supervised study and research over a minimum duration of one year,
culminating in a Master's degree thesis.
The LLM program through course work requires a student to earn 18
credits by studying 9 subjects in three semesters and further 18 credits
by a research thesis. Research thesis is will determine the
specialization of the degree. Thesis is written under the supervision of
a subject specialist culminating an original work.
Students can also complete LLM through research thesis for the whole of
36 credits by working on a specific topic under the supervision of a
subject specialist.

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) |

Requirements:
AUL graduates with the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree may find job
opportunities in professions like administration, banking and finance,
education and law, etc.
A doctoral degree candidate is required to earn a minimum of 72 semester
credits beyond a recognized Master's degree in law or an equivalent
qualification. In exceptional circumstances, a bachelor degree in law
may be accepted for admission to the PhD degree program. These credits
may be earned by supervised study and research over a minimum duration
of two years, culminating in a doctoral degree thesis.
